The Grand Canal & The Yangtze River
Day 1 Arriving Shanghai
Depart from your city and when you arrive in Shanghai, our local representative will meet and greet you at the airport. The local representative will transfer you to your hotel and the rest of the day is yours to explore and relax.
Day 2 Shanghai, Bus to Suzhou (Breakfast)
Today you are free to explore Shanghai, we will transfer to Suzhou by bus in the late afternoon. It is only about a one hour drive.
Day 3 Suzhou / Wuxi (Breakfast, Lunch)
Suzhou–the city of paradise is also known as the Oriental Venice for its exquisite canals, bridges, pagodas, and beautiful gardens. Suzhou is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After breakfast, tour the Lingering Garden, a classic private garden with 500 years of history. Next, visit the Suzhou Silk Factory, the largest silk factory in the country to discover the mysterious processing of silk.
After lunch, enjoy cruise along the ancient canal from the city to the picturesque Grand Canal.
Late afternoon, continue to Wuxi, visit the Lingshan Grand Buddha, One of China's largest Buddha statues at over 80m tall. The whole Lingshan area is a tourist attraction, with a musical fountain which plays out the story of the birth of the Buddha, as well as the Brahma palace (梵宫), a very grand palace with the pillars made of sandalwood, built to host the 2009 Buddhist conference.
Day 4 Wuxi-Hangzhou ( Breakfast, Lunch)
This morning tour the Brilliance of Lake Lihu located at Famous Lake Taihu, followed by visit a Fresh Water Pearl Farm.
Continue to Hangzhou, described by Marco Polo as "the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world". This evening, you can enjoy an open-air performance, "West Lake Night" Show , This is a performance reflecting the long and splendid culture of the region. Songs, dances, opera, acrobatics and stunts are integrated in this performance to present Hangzhou's rich ancient civilization and remarkable customs. The performance consists of five scenes lasting around 1 hour in total.
Day 5 Hangzhou-Shanghai (Breakfast, Lunch)
Hangzhou, also known as the “Paradise on Earth”, has been immortalized by countless poets and artists. The West Lake Cultural Landscape has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. After breakfast, visit The West Lake, the most beautiful lake in the country.
Taken boat ride on the serene West Lake, the most renowned feature of Hangzhou, noted for its scenic beauty which blends naturally with many famous historical and cultural sites.
Then, visit No.1 Tea Plantation and taste the well-known Dragon Well Tea. Many studies say that green tea is excellent for your health. Dragon Well Tea is the best Green Tea in China. After lunch, drive to Shanghai. Walking along the famous Bund, lined by the colonial architecture of European design, this area is the best place to capture the Western influences of the old days. It is now the called “Wall Street of the East”. At night, you will enjoy "Huangpu River Night Cruise" and get a glimpse of the dazzling and charming night view of Shanghai at your own expense.
Day 6 Shanghai (Breakfast, Lunch)
In the morning, tour Shanghai Museum, to see ancient Chinese art, furniture and jade, followed by a visit to an Emerald exhibition center. Then visit the City God Temple Bazaar, which is composed of specialty stores, selling traditional Chinese arts and crafts, medicine and souvenirs. At night, you will enjoy the Chinese Acrobatic Show - "ERA The Intersection of Time".
Day 7 Shanghai-Yichang-Yangtze River Cruise ( Breakfast )
Today,we take the morning flight to the port city of Yichang to board our cruise line , the best way to experience the breathtaking scenery of The Yangtze River-mother river of China. She begins with flows from the melting glacial waters in Tibet and reaches the East China Sea in Shanghai. Relax and be prepared for your 4 nights cruise trip on this magnificent natural wonder.
Day 8 Yangtze River Cruise ( Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner)
Enjoy the world’s largest hydroelectricity project 【Three Gorges Dam】 that spans the Yangtze River by the town of Sandouping, located in Yiling District, Yichang, Hubei province, China. The Three Gorges Dam is the world's largest power station in terms of installed capacity (22,500 MW). Dress up for the cocktail party.
Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise ( Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner)
After Breakfast, enjoy the 【The Three Little Gorges】 zigzags about 31 miles from Wushan County in the south to the Dachang Ancient Town in the north. It refers to the three gorges of the lower reaches of Daning River 【the largest branch of Yangtze River) in Wushan County - Dragon Gate Gorge 【Longmen Xia】, Misty Gorge 【Bawu Xia】, and Emerald Gorge 【Dicui Xia】.Optional tour can be paid on the boat: visit the 【Three Gorges Tribe Scenic Spot】, indulge the beauty scenery of the villages, streams and the mountains.
Day 10 Yangtze River Cruise ( Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner)
After breakfast, visit 【Shibaozhai】, literally called “Precious Stone Fortress” is a hill along the bank of the Yangtze River. On the river side of the hill is a red pavilion of nine floors which leans against the side of the hill providing a walkway to the temple at the top of the hill.Optional tour can be paid on the boat: visit the famous 【White Emperor City】.
Day 11 Yangtze River Cruise-Chongqing(Breakfast, Lunch)
Your tour guide will pick you up at the port, then we will go to visit Panda zoo. stay overnight in Chongqing.
Day 12 Chongqing(Breakfast)
After breakfast; your tour guide will transfer you to the airport to head back home. (VIA BEIJING OR SHANGHAI).
